Students, parents, and teachers joined together for a Wooster Lower School and a Wooster Middle School Scholastic Book Fair. The Scholastic Book Fair was a success, thanks to the many Wooster families that shopped and shared their enthusiasm for books with their children. Over 500 books were purchased and all the proceeds will be used to purchase additional books for classroom libraries and the school library.
Wooster School's athletic celebrations are a unique experience. The athletics department continues to seek ways to balance the "team" experience with that of the "individual." Finding room for student-athletes, coaches, and parents to reflect and share their favorite memories is a community and team building exercise and one that we feel is important to the success of our program.
Daniel was originally one of 1.6 million high school entrants into the national program. Now, Daniel is among 15,000 students who are eligible for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships awards worth more than $32 million in college scholarships.
In addition to winning the HVAL Tournament Championship for the third year in a row, Wooster School's Varsity Boys Basketball team has been selected to compete in the prestigious Class C New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Tournament. Wooster is the #5 seed and will travel to #4 seed Storm King School on Wednesday, February 28 at 4:30 pm.
Earlier this month, the entire Upper School paused classes for a Day of Equity and Inclusion. As a community we took time to reflect, discuss, and engage in an interactive workshop experience. The day allowed us to think about how to continue to make our community a safe, equitable space for all students and faculty.
